If you want recipients to see your phone number and not your Apple ID, select your phone number from the “Start new conversations from” or ”Start new calls from” pop-up menu. To turn off your phone number, deselect it in the list. If you see a number that isn’t yours, change your Apple ID password. To turn on your phone number, select it and your Apple ID in the list. In FaceTime, choose FaceTime > Preferences, then click Settings. In Messages, choose Messages > Preferences, then click Accounts and select your iMessage account. Turn your phone number on or off for your MacĪfter you set up your phone number, you can turn it on or off for Messages and FaceTime on your Mac. If you have questions, contact Apple Support. Calls or messages for the removed numbers won't appear on those devices anymore. This removes all phone numbers from your iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. 
If the phone number that you want to remove belongs to an iPhone that you can't access, change your Apple ID password. Then go to Settings > FaceTime and sign out of your Apple ID account. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. If you don't want calls or messages for your iPhone on your iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, you can remove your phone number. Instead of using the same Apple ID as someone else, set up Family Sharing. If you use this feature and share your Apple ID with someone, you can't prevent them from seeing your conversations. Turn on your phone number for your iPad or iPod touch. On your other devices, you can now turn on the phone number that you just set up: Go to Settings > FaceTime and follow the same steps. In the “You can be reached” section, make sure that there are checkmarks beside your phone number and Apple ID. If you see “Use your Apple ID for iMessage,” tap it and sign in with the same Apple ID that you use on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch. You might need to wait a moment for it to activate. Go to Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage is on. These are good suggestions, but I can quite literally FaceTime with my parents for a half hour, and then immediately try my girlfriend and still have no luck.These steps work only with the phone number that belongs to your iPhone, not the phone number of a landline or other device. This is very frustrating and the only suggestions I'm getting are to make sure FaceTime is on in the settings, time and date are correct, etc etc. I am able to FaceTime via my iPad with anyone else. However, it still just doesn't work whatsoever. It doesn't show a missed call because from the one being called's end, it never shows as even being attempted. When we dial, it just rings on the dialer's end but not the other. It will not connect whatsoever from either of my devices or from hers. I am able to FaceTime anyone I want, except her. 
She is able to FaceTime anyone she wants, except me.
